Women in Tourism, Trade, and Sustainability Africa (WITTSA), a groundbreaking program designed to enhance climate resilience and empower women across Africa. WITTSA is committed to facilitating access to vital resources for women in tourism, trade, and sustainability. Through a comprehensive approach, the program focuses on facilitating digital skills, capacity-building initiatives, specialized training, financial support, and access to markets.
By empowering women in these crucial sectors, WITTSA strives to create a more inclusive and resilient socio-economic landscape, fostering sustainable development and gender equality across the African continent.
Criteria for WITTSA membership
1. Female
2. 18 – 65 years
3. African origin
4. Entrepreneur or seeks to be one.
5. Interested in or practicing eco-conscious business
6. Commitment to do or diversify into eco friendly business/ green trade to foster green economy.
7. Available to start and finish skill acquisition training provided by the foundation.
8. Commitment to support and participate in the advocacy of the foundation for climate action and sustainability in tourism and trade.
UPCOMING TRAINING
SDSTF in line with its STEP4GDP Pilot Programme will provide skills acquisition and empowerment programme for Green Jobs for 100 women in Q1 January – March 2024.
The first batch training which is the STEP4GDP Cohort 1 will be announced shortly.
